Do
I need my own Website for Network Marketing?
Good Question!
Yes and No. It all
depends on the angle by which you approach your marketing.
If you are planning
on creating a product and selling it, then you absolutely must have your own
site.
If you are going to
resell other peoples products as an affiliate, there are a few different ways
of doing this without the need of your own website.
As a matter of fact
there is a book called Google Cash that explains a method to promote other peoples
products using pay per click search engines without the need of having your
own website.
Even though I have
several of my own websites, I purchased this ebook and gave the methods a fair
try.
Based on my results,
and I guess the fact that I am still using these methods to make a fair amount
of money monthly, I would definitely say I recommend it highly for both the novice and
experienced webmaster.
On the other hand if
you are planning on creating your own product, or even if you decide to go
with someone else's product as an affiliate, I think it is best to have your
own website.
One reason is this,
if you have a website of your own, you also have the ability to create a
relationship with a visitor instead of just sending them to a landing page to
purchase a product.
Many people feel
forced and rushed into purchasing without being given enough information and
consideration.
Which would make you
more comfortable?
A website that spent
some time explaining the benefits of the products to you. Offered a few price
comparisons, pros and cons maybe even a fact sheet and a picture.
Or a website full of
links to a sales page?
There is a fantastic
piece of software to help you build a website called Site Build It!.
Site Build It! is actually more of an entire web building, hosting and
promoting system. As far as I am concerned it is a fail safe for the new and
intermediate webmaster. We'll discuss SBI! many times throughout this tutorial
since it fits in so many categories. Another great piece of software to promote
your website is called
Web
Position Gold.
When I first started
to build my own site, I went out and bought a copy of Frontpage 2002. I use it
extensively now, but when I first started I knew nothing about HTML. Let me
tell you it was scary.
I put together a
fairly pathetic webpage, promoted it as best I could and even spent some cash
on advertising.
Every day I would
learn a tidbit of information and I would go back and tweak my site.
After 4 months I was
up to a whopping 20 visitors a day. I thought that was pretty good. Little did
I know...
Then, one day in one
of the forums I came upon a discussion regarding Web Position Gold. It was in
depth and some pretty hefty claims were made by some people I had grown to
respect.
Needless to say I
was sold and bought myself a copy. I wish I had done so sooner! Within 2
months I was up to 200 unique visitors a day! And that climbed consistently
until my site reached a plateau at about 1500 visitors per day. I made my
money back in the first month and continue to use it today.
Check it out!
Suffice it to say,
regardless of which path you choose, I feel strongly that you must approach
online marketing as you would any other business and learning how to make a
decent website is definitely key.
As you read on and
learn all there is to know about marketing, that fact will become more and
more apparent.
Good Luck in this Marketing Jungle!
